Chess Club Report - Term 3, 2023

We have a group of enthusiastic chess players among our IEC students. They start the day playing chess before school, at recess and then at lunchtime. They play chess on the tables and seats located outside the S3 staffroom. Their chess skills have improved a lot on account of their commitment, enthusiasm and consistent practice. 

We have plenty of student spectators who want to join the chess club. They are aware that chess is a game of concentration, and it helps in their problem-solving skills. Now I believe that our IEC students are ready for participation in a chess tournament next term. It will be an in-school tournament, winners and runners-up will be presented with trophies and certificates.
