CBCA Book Week

Established with the first awards in 1946, the annual CBCA Book of the Year Awards aim to promote quality literature for young Australians; support and encourage a wide range of Australian writers and illustrators of children’s books, and celebrate contributions to Australian children’s literature. 

Winners and Honours will be announced on the third Friday in August. 

Book Week runs from 19 to 25 August 2023 and there will be lots happening in our Library to celebrate, including a fun Kahoot quiz, seed planting, and a movie at lunchtime, as well as our popular Bookmark Design competition.

This year's theme is Read. Grow. Inspire.

A special thanks to Bunnings Melton for donating products for our seed planting project.

Book Fair is coming to KSC!

Hat's off to reading... Our school will be hosting a Book Fair towards the end of the term.

Students, families, and staff are all welcome to come along and visit Book Fair. 

Book Fair will be held Tuesday 29th August - Thursday 31st August.

Book Fair times for Students:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - Recess, Lunchtime, and Afterschool

Book Fair times for Families:

Tuesday & Wednesday - 3:10pm to 5:00pm

Thursday - 3:10pm to 6:00pm
