Join the War on Waste

The new series of War on Waste premiered on 25 July and will cover three main topics: plastic waste, food waste and fashion waste. Tune in to the series or catch up on ABC iView to learn more about the problems and how we can tackle them together.

Inspired to take actions? Here are some ideas to help you reduce waste:

• BYO your coffee cups and takeaway containers. Help your local cafes and restaurants by only bringing sparkling clean containers!
• Put your food waste to good use by composting at home, using your food and green waste recycling bin, or by finding a compost host on ShareWaste
• Check out our fabulous op shops to find second hand treasures and save $$$.

The ABC has also published tips to accompany the show and this great action toolkit to help you to take on the war on waste with your networks.

You can also visit your local libraries to find books for yourself and the little ones to learn more about the waste issues. Check out the War on Waste reading list.

Hookin2 Hockey

In Term 1, St. Stephen’s participated in a Hockey clinic with Hookin2 Hockey. They are running an introductory program if any of our students enjoyed the clinic and are interested in participating in hockey again! For more information please view the flyer below.
