Girton Graduates Use Music Talent

Three recent Girton Grammar graduates, Tai Hindson, Hamish Sin and Lily Begg, have been invited to perform simultaneously on piano with three other pianists, as part of a multi-media stage production that will feature at an exclusive Ulumbarra Theatre event next week.

Everyone Goes To Heaven In The Clothes They Died In is the debut major stage work for local Bendigo artist David Gagliardi. The project, which includes a live stage show, a film of the work and a soundtrack album, crosses art forms by blending a mix of illustration, animation, video art, sound design, lighting design and composition for 6 pianos.

The work has been supported by Australia Council for the Arts, Creative Victoria, Bendigo Venues & Events, Piano World Australia and the Ulumbarra Foundation.

After 18 months, the efforts of 23 artists and arts workers (17 of which are from the Bendigo creative community), and with the support of 9 organisations, the production is approaching its final stages of creative development, and has provided the three Girton graduates with a unique and rewarding experience.
