From the Head

As we draw the 2021 school year to an official end, may I again congratulate students formally recognised at our 2021 digital Speech Night events.

This recognition is essential. It brings with it a sense of fulfilment for individuals, and it engenders a sense of pride within our school community.

When I inducted the 2022 Prefects, I asked them to seek humility, which entails an ability to genuinely celebrate and share the success of others. Perhaps more importantly, it involves being grateful for opportunities to succeed, not triumphant in the success itself.

I offer again my deepest thanks to the Board, our dedicated teachers, our reliable administration staff, our supportive and loyal families and most of all, our vibrant, resilient, intelligent, funny and kind students for an extraordinary year of work.

The final end of year correspondence with important dates for early 2022 and a summary of the 2021 VCE results will be sent to families next week. The school remains open for families as needed until Friday 17th December at midday.

In the meantime, I hope that the holiday period has commenced well for Girton families and you are enjoying the in-person company of friends, family and acquaintances.
