Parents and Friends

Dear Families,

We’re thrilled to announce some event dates for families and the students to socialise once again.

The PNF (Parents & Friends) Committee is focused on creating fun, social activities for all families and children to be involved in – whilst this may sometime involve important fundraising for the school at times, it by no means the sole purpose.

After what has been a very trying 2 years for families - we aim to reconnect the school students and parents with our wider local community to support families in a safe and welcoming environment.

Our first event for the year is the Family Fun Day to be held once again on the front beach at Webster’s Corner (end of St. Pauls Rd) Sorrento – this is from 4pm on Friday 4 March – please BYO your own food & drinks, bathers towels and sunscreen etc… as its lots of fun if the sun is shining for kids to swim and play supervised!

Following that for Term 1 is :-

• Shrove Tuesday Pancakes – 1st March straight after drop off

• Feast Day  - Friday 18th March

• Anzac Day – Bake Off Tuesday 26 April (First Day of Term Two)

Please let us know if you were on the list last year and whether or not you would like to remain there as a volunteer for various events throughout the year – and if any new parents would like to be involved too??

We will also be asking for 2 Class Reps per year group if anyone is interested – and SMJ Care for any families needing immediate help with meals or school pick up/drop off etc due to new babies/injuries/illness/crisis .. please advise Monica.

It seems as though it’s a lot to take on board but really isn’t too bad, with many hands making light work!

We’re open to new suggestions/ideas or ways to improve (within reason!!), so please don’t hesitate to be forthcoming.

We completely understand everyone has limited time and funds to spare -  however if and when you’re able to attend any of these events/ and or help out by volunteering in any capacity, it would be truly appreciated!
