UNIT OF WORK

Our Unit of Work this term is ‘Connecting With Our Community’. Students will explore that at Sunshine Heights they learn best when they interact with their peers and support one another. Students will also investigate the services that our local community provides, as well as how we all contribute to our local community.

What we expect the students to learn in Unit of Work: 

Students will learn to: 

• Rely on each other to achieve a common goal (Interdependence) and how they can all contribute to their communities.
• Be reflective learners who can see the purpose of setting individual and shared goals.
• Give and receive feedback to help them grow as learners. 
• Understand their emotions and identify strategies they can use to regulate them.
• Have a ‘Growth Mindset’ and be an emotionally intelligent member of our community.
