Middle School Assembly

Tuesday 6 September 2022

On Tuesday 6 September Years 7, 8 and 9 came together in the Gym to take part in the Middle School assembly for Term 3.

As always, the Middle School Captains Liliana Bell, Kyle McDonald, Kylie Wolff and Anoushka Jitesh planned and ran the assembly. The meticulous planning in the weeks leading up the assembly enabled them to once again provide an outstanding event to the 690+ strong audience.

Continuing the tradition of showcasing the musical talent on offer at Mordialloc College at year level assemblies, this term we were treated to an exceptional rendition of ‘She’s always a woman’ from Lachlan Welsh, written and originally performed by Billy Joel. The crowd showed their support and appreciation by providing a rousing ovation for Lachlan at the end of his performance.

At Mordialloc College we have three categories of awards;

LEARNING LEGEND: This is an award given for a student who has achieved outstanding results academically

EXCELLENT ENDEAVOUR: This award is for a student who may not achieve outstanding results compared to others, but always tries their hardest and is achieving their personal best.

ALL ROUNDER: This award is for students who have been perfect in class all term. They have been achieving outstanding results, have a great attitude towards learning and always try their best in their classes.

We had 108 individual students nominated to receive a total of 120 certificates for Term 3. The following students were nominated for at least one award. Students with an asterisk next to their name were nominated for more than one award and these students were presented with their awards during the assembly. All students who were nominated for one award will be handed their certificates in upcoming Year Level assemblies.

Congratulations to all award winners. It was great to see so many students acknowledged for their hard work and achievement throughout the term. I look forward to seeing even more students receiving certificates in appreciation of their effort and achievements in Term 4.
