GRADE 5-6 UPDATE

Hello 5/6 families,

Science - What a great week we have had testing and presenting (and tweaking and trying again and tweaking again) our Rube Goldberg Machines! We are so proud of the amazing contraptions they have completed! We have seen many end goals of balloons popping via pulley systems, inclined planes, levering etc. Other end goals consisted of music playing on laptops, bells ringing, plants being watered and sprinkles being added to cupcakes. Thank you to the families that came in to view our wonderful projects on Wednesday!

Concert Costume Requirements - Thank you to all families who have sent their costumes to school. We have had a few students away this week so could those families please make sure the following items are at school the first day back of Term 4:

  • Black top and pants
  • A red or yellow plain t-shirt (we have a couple of spare tops if you need)
  • Something to add to their black clothes for a miner's outfit (eg vest, hat, checkered shirt etc like what a lot of them wore to Education Week dress up)

Upcoming events:

  • September 16 - Student Free Day

Thank you for a wonderful term, have a safe and happy holiday!

(tag, your it!)
