Welcome to Term 4!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is wonderful to welcome everyone back to Sunny Heights! We hope you had a great break and that you are looking forward to our final term of the year. It is hard to believe that we are here already!

Term 4 is always an exciting time for our Grade 6 students as they plan their Graduation ceremony and get ready for their transition to high school. To help our students prepare for this important stage of their life, we will be welcoming Headspace Sunshine back to our school to run high school transition sessions dealing with 'Stress and Resilience', 'Navigating New People and Situations', 'Organisation and Motivation' and 'Self Care'. 

In addition, our Grade 6 students will be participating in a new Cybersafety Unit to help our students develop strategies to navigate the digital world in a safe and respectful way. More information will be shared with our Grade 6 families via Seesaw.

For Grade 5 students, it is a time to think about applying for future school leadership positions and getting excited about taking that next step to Grade 6!

REMINDERS

• The school is now using 'Compass' as our communication platform. If you need any assistance with downloading the app, please contact the school office.
• Broad brimmed hats are compulsory during Term 4. Students who do not have a hat will have to play in our designated shaded areas. It is also recommended that students apply sunscreen in the morning and bring sunscreen to school to top up throughout the day.
• Students are encouraged to read at home every night for 20-30 minutes. 
• Thank you to our parents who have donated two boxes of tissues.
