DASH NEWS

The DASH team have been busy over the first three weeks of term, with steady numbers of students in attendance. Week 1 saw us continuing the children’s interest in bugs and beetles, which they investigated in our garden during the holiday program. Stick insects were brought in and handled with care, and were a big hit! During Week 2 we continued to explore Mexican culture through craft activities, and the children also enjoyed playing Plastic Cup Pong (great for hand-eye coordination!). This week is Australian National Backyard Bird Count Week, so we have been aiming to count, identify and collate information with the birdlife that visits our SAKG area. Along with this, pinecone owls, pom pom birds and origami bird finger puppets have been keeping us busy too!

A friendly reminder for children to bring hats, as the weather warms up they will be spending more time outdoors. If your child(ren) are not attending DASH please make sure that you ABSENT your child in the My Family Lounge App.
