Hero Awards

Congratulations Mackenzie, Sam, Piper and Lily for completing another full chart of hero awards!!

Class Meeting

This week our SRC Representative Sebastian, ran a class meeting to gain feedback about The Hub.  Sebastian will then take our class feedback to a school SRC meeting to listen to ‘student voice’ and implement any changes if they can.

Education in Faith

We have been learning about Parables and reflecting on the Scripture of The Good Samaritan.  The students have a Parable Reflection booklet that they are filling in after being immersed in each Parable through listening to the Scripture, watching an animation, and participating in a meditation.  The students reflected on what the parable is teaching us and provided an example of how this is reflected in the world today.

Numeracy

Over the last two weeks we've been revising what we know about multiplication and division, as well as learning some new strategies for working out equations.

Bellow is one example of an open ended task in division, where there are multiple answers. Students worked in small groups and used maths resources and known strategies to help them to figure out the different solutions.

Literacy - Writing

Dynamic Dialogue! Our writing focus for this term has been including dialogue in our writing.  We have been learning how to correctly punctuate our dialogue with quotation marks.  Here, the students used two writing prompts about a 'Storm at Sea' and brainstormed ideas before they started writing.
