Inclusion and Diversity

Women's and Men's PL teams-Pride Round 2019

Access Health and Community Partnership - by Pip Dudley

Inclusive Sporting Clubs Workshops

The workshops are part of a program run by Access Health and Community and local governments that will help TEM and other sporting clubs to attract and support a more diverse membership that encourages participation and leadership from everybody.

The next two workshops are being converted to an online webinar format, they will go live so that participants can post questions and get a ‘real time’ response from facilitators.

This is a great learning opportunity and opens up the potential for more people to attend, from the comfort of their home!  Jenny Eager and I can fill you in on the background and get you linked in, but really all you need is some interest in seeing what's going on amongst Boroondara sporting clubs and how we can fit in.

Workshop 3: Understanding your club culture Part 1 – (Webinar only) Wednesday April 29. 6:30pm live start

Workshop 4: Understanding your club culture Part 2 – (Webinar only) Wednesday May 20, 6:30pm live start

Access Health and Community

Access Health and Community is the lead organisation in the Inclusive Clubs in Sport project.  They offer a wide range of services, resources, information and advice that are designed to promote happy and healthy communities.  Their website is well worth checking out, go to www.accesshc.org.au to find out more.

Action Grants Program

Access Health and Community is inviting sporting clubs who are participating in the program to apply for a small grant limited to $1000 per group, per year.  Grants might cover attending relevant professional development training, creating a new program, purchasing new equipment and resources.  Activities and/or items would need to be covered in our action plan.   We are in the process of developing the action plan, if anyone has any ideas about activities just drop us a line.
