What's happening in our

learning communities?

Presented by  RET class and Transition Program group (Gabby's Angels)

This term we welcomed a new group of children to our Gabby's Angels  Transition Program!  In the last few weeks, we have been exploring the school environment, learning new routines and getting to know one another.  We have enjoyed painting, drawing, name art, and colouring in.  We have been using our growing imaginations in the play kitchen, with our dolls, cars and dinosaurs.

Building marble runs has also become a popular activity and is helping us build our teamwork and turn taking skills. We have also loved making new friends with the children next door in Miss Thom's Reception class! We look forward to a busy and enjoyable rest of the term!

Meanwhile, in Miss Thom’s room, our newest Receptions have had a wonderful three weeks, learning all about what it’s like to be a big school student!  For the first time this year, we have had all 22 students together in one class – and they look mighty grown up in their new school uniform.

All our new reception students have shown that they have the skills and the heart to become kind, caring and dedicated learners. We are all so excited to continue our primary school learning journey, along with our Gabby’s Angels friends.
