Three Way Conferences Semester 1 2022
Students across the College were recently involved in sharing their learning during our Three Way Conferences. It was very impressive to hear the way that students spoke about their learning and the goals for the semester ahead. The school and home partnership is vital for student success so we appreciate the time families took to participate in these conferences.
Year 7/8 students were asked for their feedback about the conferences and here’s what they had to say...
What Went Well:
- Sharing my successes in IMPACT
- Showing my mum my level in reading
- Talking about my accomplishments
- Being held in person
- Sharing my writing samples
- My mum reading my government ERP because I was really proud of what I had done
- Sharing my Maths Pathways data
- Having the option to book appointments during the school day and after school
- Talking about my goals
- Talking about Humanities
- Having interpreters
Even Better If:
- They continue to be done in person
- I spoke more during the conference
- I had more time to rehearse beforehand
- I used more work samples to share my learning
- They were at the end of Term 2 so that we could share about everything that had happened in Semester 1
- Choose a rich task from Maths to share
- We were able to book appointments with specialist teachers (including SEED, IMPACT, GITTC)
- They ran for at least 20mins
- Have the option of having them in real life or via Webex
- Have food available
We are always looking to improve so this valuable feedback will be taken on board for future Three Way conferences.
Take a moment to look at the photos of some of the ways students have demonstrated their learning in Humanities.
