Andrew is the author of the very popular Real Pigeon series of comics. Many thanks to Morag McKillop for organising this.

Fiona Hardy

Fiona is also published by Affirm and has written two books How to Make a Movie in 12 Days and How to Write the Soundtrack of Your Life.

Book Week: Dreaming with Eyes Open

At last we can celebrate Book Week at school with all of you.

Author Fiona Hardy will be with us on Tuesday, August 23. 

On Friday, August 26, at 9am  there will be the much anticipated Book Character Parade where students can dress up as their favourite book character. You never know some teachers may join in too...  

In the lead up to Book Week our wonderful Art Teacher Margaret is running the bookmark design competition again. The winning entry will be professionally printed and distributed across the school community. 

Finally at school assembly on Friday, August 26 we can celebrate all the participants in the Newlands PFA-run Read-a-thon and discover the winning bookmark design.
