Reunion updates

Guests enjoying the one year reunion for the Classes of 2019, 2020 & 2021

20&25 year reunion

We were delighted with the strong attendance at the catch up for the Classes of 2002 and 1997 celebrating their 20 and 15 year reunions respectively. There was lots of smiles and chatter as guests shared news of life and reflected on their time at Kilvington.

50 year reunion

We had Kilvonians travel from far and wide to attend the historic 50 year reunion for the Class of 1972 in early August. There were plenty of hilarious tales told including this one by Robyn Funston (nee Piper).

In Year 11, a few other girls and I decided, for the first and only time, to ‘wag” school for the day. Little did we know that our antics would be photographed and featured on the front page of The Age newspaper. What a spectacular way to get caught out.

One year reunion

The VCE Centre was filled with past students from the Classes of 2019, 2020 and 2021 who gathered to celebrate their one year reunions. These recent graduates loved being back on familiar territory and we were delighted to catch up with their past teachers and each other.

5&10 year reunion

It was wonderful to see so many Alumni at this years 5&10 year reunion held at Hotel Brighton. Due to events cancelled during COVID-19 lockdowns we welcomed peer groups from 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016 and 2017.

Walsh Club

Despite the dark and gloomy weather, it was laugher and smiles all round as our Walsh Club members gathered in the Kilvington Sport Centre to enjoy lunch and one another’s company.

Rosie Maddick (Class of 1971) very proudly modelled her old blazer – it still fits her! Rosie was hockey vice-captain in 1970 and hockey captain in 1971.

It was also lovely to see the Clarke family – Judy (Class of 1959) with her daughters Kimily (Class of 1982) and Jodie (Class of 1986).  You can read an update from Judy in the 'News from the Archives' section.

Thank you for your gracious hospitality last Friday! It was so lovely to be back after 50 years, a real joy, and heart-warming to be able to return and reminisce with fellow alumni.

It was also very special to hear a few welcoming words from Mr Rob French and current school leaders, and somewhat amazing to learn of the upcoming centenary celebrations next year.

Thank you for organising last Friday’s Walsh Club lunch for those determined, surviving, sturdy Kilvington seniors who floated, splashed and dashed through the lively weather to come and so thoroughly enjoyed your event!
