Year F/1

We have been reading lots of Bob Graham books as an author focus this week. We are lucky enough to have 13 of his books here at school and have been reading some every day. After we have read all the books, we will decide which one is our favourite. 

In English,  we have been focussing on using and writing rhyming words. We have made lists of words that rhyme. 

Did you know that these words rhyme? 

doll - roll,  dog - log - zog, hat - bat - cat, tree- bee - see, pig - dog- zog -fog, frog - log, parrots - carrots, chairs - bears. 

We have loved reading "Oi Frog' by Kez Gray and Jim Field. This story is a great story to read as on each page there are so many rhyming words.  We watched a video on how to draw the frog from by the illustrator Jim Field. Our illustrations look amazing as you can see from the photos'.  On the hallway as you walk in the front door, there are our frogs and 'The Three Little Pigs' art story maps displayed.
