NEW - Grade 6 & Prep Buddy Activities

While the 2020 preps enjoyed their transition afternoons, the Grade 6’s enjoyed some time with their Grade Prep buddies. They have been great bonding times for the grade 6’s and their prep buddies.

There have been 3 activities with three different teachers Mrs Hicks, Mr Woodward and Miss Junor. Mrs Hicks sparked their creativity with her Make-Your-Own monsters, the preps rolled a dice and built their monsters. It was good to see the grade 6’s join in too, I personally enjoyed making Blinky! Miss Junor focused on the Christmas spirit with Make-Your-Own Gingerbread houses, basically the same as the Monsters only with glittery, “sequiny” Gingerbread houses.

Mr Woodward chose the card games. There were three (wow again with the number 3) Memory, Go Fish and Snap. All three activities were extremely fun for the grade 6’s and the preps. We hope for more bonding fun in the future.

Grade 6 Basketball & Softball

Softball -

On Wednesday the 20th October, some grade 6’s travelled to McEwen reserve to play softball and basketball with Mr Preston, Nicole and Mrs Loughran. At softball, the St. Mary’s team made it through with 32 home runs in total. We played 3 games, 1 win, 1 loss, and 1 tie. It came down to the amount of total home runs throughout the games. We thank Mansfield Primary School for their effort in all 3 games!
