Pookalam created by members of our school community for the Onam Disco, October 2018
The Primary School Disco held last Friday evening featured an Onam theme. Several Hindu members of our school community created a large Pookalam in the BDISC foyer to welcome the students. Taking several hours to create, the floral display comprised petals of various colours and a stunning gold centrepiece. It provided a wonderful insight into another culture and a natural conversation piece with many families taking photographs of their children standing next to the Pookalam. Thank you to the P&F Association for running the disco evenings during the year and creating the opportunity for families within our school community to celebrate their culture in a truly meaningful way.
Congratulations to all involved in Technology Week activities last week. The highlight was the first rate exhibition of student work in the Technology Centre. In keeping with past years, all of the Technology and Enterprise subjects were represented in the display which gave parents, staff and students an excellent insight into the scope of this important learning area. Thank you to the staff and students who contributed to the week's activities.

The Primary and Secondary Instrumental Concerts are special occasions showcasing the work of our talented Music students. It was only a few years ago that students of all ages would perform in one concert. Such has been the growth of our Instrumental Program that separate concerts became necessary and continue to flourish. This week the concerts were held on con
secutive nights. Congratulations to all involved and thank you to our 2018 Music Tutors, Arts staff, parent and student helpers, 2019 Arts Prefect, Harriet Butterfield-Cole, 2018 Prefect, Liam Palmer and our Music Coordinator, Rory Marchant without whose energy and enthusiasm the concerts would not take place.
