3/4Z took part in a Design a Robot Challenge for Measurement.

 

 

 

 

 

Some of us measured  and calculated widths, lengths, perimeters and areas.

We designed our robots on grid paper and calculated the mm and cm of each section and some of us included the area and perimeter of each section.

 

We were able to work out the difference between different measurements and convert between mm and cm.

 

We can estimate and then measure with our rulers to the nearest mm.

 

We can convert millimetres into centimetres. 

 

We can estimate and measure to the nearest cm.

 

We can draw a robot with specified measurements.
