Co-curricular - Junior Sport

What a great way to start a week! The sun was shining, the water was clear and the boys came to compete. It was fantastic to see the Junior School boys compete in the 2021 Junior School House Swimming Competition at Auburn pool on Monday. It was a day full of excitement, challenge, reward and fun.
A standout moment from the day was the way in which all members of the Junior School student body supported each other. The day was characterised by the attitude of support for all and fair play. Everyone gave it their all and often at point tally checks, there was only one or two points’ difference between the houses.
Congratulations to the winning House Berg. A great reward for a day full of consistency, effort and poise. The points tally for the day was as follows:
1 | Berg – 356 |
2 | Hickey – 312 |
3 | Coghlan – 310 |
4 | Hanrahan – 282 |
5 | Crichton – 188 |
6 | Rice – 138 |
Congratulations to all the boys who swam on the day. It is your efforts and willingness to be involved, win, lose or draw that makes the day so special. Of note are our age champions for this year:
10’s Age Champion | Zac Bromfield (Berg) |
11’s Yr 5 Age Champion | Patrick McDonald (Hanrahan) and Camille Azzi (Hickey) |
11’s Yr 6 Age Champion | Peter Geagea (Coghlan) |
12’s Age Champion | Charlie Roberts (Berg) and Alexander Kelly (Hanrahan) |
Away from the Swimming carnival, Levi Berbari of Year 5 was recently selected to represent NSWCIS in Basketball. An outstanding achievement! We wish Levi all the best with the upcoming Basketball tournament.
A reminder to all parents and students to check the weekly fixture page on Team App each week. This page has the most up-to-date information, addresses, and notes any changes that have occurred from the draft draw.
