School Council President

We had our first School Council meeting for the year last night (via MS Teams). 

We said goodbye to some outstanding councillors, Nathan Hill (our Vice President), Josh Dunne (a school representative), Belle Donald and Jeremy Furyk (parent representatives).  We will welcome our new and returning councillor at our next meeting on the 16th March. There was a flurry of activity, including getting up to speed on all of the incredible facilities works currently going on at the school, and getting across finance issues for the coming year (which included some exciting plans for fundraising options). Of particular relevance to the broader school community is some exciting news about new House uniforms, options for which will be coming out to you and the children for your consultation and feedback shortly.  It’s going to be another active year for the OGPS School Council, and we are all looking forward to another year of engagement with our school leadership team and community.  Please note that we have a number of subcommittees (SC) open to community membership if you feel passionately about supporting the school and its initiatives: A Fundraising SC, a Facilities SC, an Inclusion SC, and a Sustainability SC.  Please feel free to contact the office and leave your details if you are interested in joining any of these new, but essential, support services for the school.
