FREE TRIAL SOCCER SESSIONS

Girls Only 3:45pm-4:45pm, Boys Only 4:45pm-5:45pm

Football Star Academy is offering FREE skill acquisition soccer sessions for all girls and boys between ages 5 to 12 at Ocean Grove Primary School soccer pitch.

IMPORTANT Reminder

(Riding to and from school)

We have had numerous reports of students who ride to and from school who are not observing and following the bike education rules! Please ensure you all speak to your children about the safety of themselves and others when riding!

Please Note: If your child is in Year 3 or below an adult must accompany them to and from school. Bike Education is conducted in Year 4.

Girls Football (Soccer) Classes at

Ocean Grove Primary School

Just a reminder soccer classes will start on Monday 1st March @3.45pm-4.45pm at the Ocean Grove Primary School. FSA coaches will arrive to set up by 3:15pm so if your daughter attends OGPS she is welcome to come straight to the soccer pitch when the bell goes to sign in and help coaches set up before the 3:45pm start time.

All your daughter needs to wear is something she is comfortable running around in, runners or soccer shoes are recommended, a hat, her own drink bottle and finally a positive, fun attitude!

Art Smock Reminder

Big THANK YOU to everyone that has brought their Art Smock into school this year.

Each class has been issued with a fancy new tub just for their Arts mocks to be stored in. These are kept in classrooms and brought to Art each week.

If your child/ren haven't yet brought one into school, please do so by Friday 5th March 2021.

Art smocks are to be worn each Art lesson to protect your child's school uniform.

Information for parents BEFORE School Photo day 2021

School Photos 2021 – Ocean Grove Primary School

Annual school photos including sibling photos will be taken at Ocean Grove Primary School by Arthur Reed Photos on Friday 26th Feb, 2021.

There is no need to return any forms or money to school.

Unique image codes will be issued to all students on/after photo day so families can register online to view images when they become available in the webshop.

Registration is simple, just follow the 3 simple steps on your child’s personalised flyer once you receive it and remember to add the codes for all your children attending this school.

Even if you registered last year, it’s important that you do again this year using your child’s 2021 image code to link their images for the current year with your contact details.

When images are ready to view and in the webshop, all parents who have registered will be notified by SMS and email.

Once registered, please wait for notification that 2021 images are online to view before making your purchase.

TUTOR PROGRAM

Tutor Update

The required pre assessment data came to a halt last week given the stage 4 lockdown. We are back into it this week and Kate Artstall is working with our early years staff and students to ensure that small focus groups will commence in the coming weeks. It is expected that Kate will work with our Year 1 students initially and upon the return of Kate Greskie and Rebecca Bradbury in Term 2, support will commence in other year levels.

Ocean Grove Primary School received tutor funding for six months but has made a financial commitment beyond this as a means of supporting our students the very best we possibly can.

A REMINDER

Broad Brimmed Hats — Terms 1 and 4

A reminder that in Terms 1 and 4, it is compulsory for students to wear a dark blue broad brimmed or bucket hat (either plain or with school logo) whilst outside.

Peaked caps, baseball caps or any other hats are not acceptable.

Hats are available from the Uniform Shop (Looking Smart, 7 Marine Parade, Ocean Grove)
