Swimming Carnival

Swimming Carnival
On Friday 12 February 2021, Boorowa Central School held its annual combined K-12 swimming carnival at the Boorowa War Memorial Pool. It was a wonderful day filled with colour, dress-ups, and competition. The carnival displayed many impressive individual performances, elevated levels of encouragement from our students as well as a great community spirit from our parent helpers. Our students had a wonderful day and all who attended are to be commended for the way they represented themselves, participated and volunteered to assist in the running of the carnival.
Well done to all swimmers for your efforts on the day and congratulations to the age champions and runners up for your excellent performances.

The Year 12 relay V staff was keenly contested and brought much laughter from the crowd as the swan, crocodile, and array of floating devices took to the pool.
Also, a huge thank you to our Southern Inland Swimming Area (SISA) officials, Stephen and Michelle Mawbey, Mike and Lorna Donnelly, who volunteered to assist in the running of the carnival and to the Boorowa Swimming club for the hire of the club's equipment and timing system.
Finally, a big congratulations to Green House (839) who took out the 2021 swimming carnival by narrowly defeating Blue House (824) in a hotly contested carnival. Well done.
Thank you to all staff, students, and parents for your support of the swimming carnival that highlights the wonderful community we have at Boorowa Central School.
