The Open Nights were very well attended on Tuesday and Wednesday. The teachers appreciated everyone's effort to attend. Please remember that if you have any questions for your child's teacher please call them and arrange a face-to-face discussion if that is required. Likewise, please email, call or arrange a meeting with me regarding any questions you may have.
As mentioned on PAM this week, I have been away on sick leave. I returned for 1/2 a day Wednesday and have increased my time each day. It may have only been four school days, but I missed being present.
Each year independent auditors visit every school in our diocese. Yesterday, Strategem Accountants gave a very positive verbal report to the office team. The budget and financial arm of the school is a major responsibility. CES staff work with us, especially Karli Heggart. One major commendation, was excellent record keeping. Congratulations Karli and Jodi!
A full report is given to the school and CES.
For some time we have been monitoring the entry/exit to our carpark. While it may cause a few delays, these delays are not too bad compared to other schools. We have discussed options to ease congestion. The long-term goal would be to have a second entry/exit, and Emmaus Campus to have car access from Grace road. Any extensions to our current car park will not assist in the flow of traffic at the moment.
We are going to trial in Weeks 8-10 a change of times. This will begin on Monday 15th March.
We are attempting to ease car traffic while the buses depart. After the first week we will welcome any feedback and speak to parents in the carpark. We have pushed times back 10 minutes. This may assist some families with children in Years 7-12.

We are currently developing such a policy for F-6. Phones and SMART watches are becoming more noticeable at school. Like many Year 7-12 schools, phones are not to be used on school grounds. Children are not to talk or text using their watches for this purpose as well.
The policy will outline steps when children misuse these devices.

We have all noticed the work taking place. Footings have been poured and the first slab will be poured next Wednesday 10th March from daylight. There will be extra traffic with cement trucks during school drop-off. Please be prepared for minor delays.
PBC are approximately one week ahead of schedule, so this will be a good reserve if/when there is some type of delay throughout the year.
We have attached some photos. PBC and the school will be taking some drone footage to share.
