Student Wellbeing

Welcome George

As we know dogs can offer unconditional love and support. Last week we welcomed George to Concord School. George’s role is to provide emotional and sensory support to students and to participate in the Occupational Therapy program. George is a golden retriever, he has been chosen for his intelligence and temperament including his gentle and loyal nature. He is owned and managed by Emma Smale one of our OTs. At present he is only to coming to school one day per week.

Below is a message from one of our 2021 School Captain sent during the recent school closure.

Staff at Concord School could not have said it better.

School Captain letter.

Dear Concord School,

We will get through these rough times.

Let’s hope we don't have to stay in lockdown for much longer.

Make sure you look after yourself and family, so that includes getting exercise and drink plenty of water and eat healthy.

You could look after your families by cooking meals for them or looking after your property instead of your parents doing it for you.

Everyone did an excellent job getting through the last

lock down. This time it’s only 2 days to go then we will see what the Department of Education says on Wednesday night.

Smash through the school work, just a couple of hours each day, and then you can spend time looking after yourself.

From Brianna,

School Captain

Important message for students on the bus

All students have been reminded that they are not to use deodorant aerosols when inside the school bus. This can place other students at risk of an asthma attack. Please reinforce this to your child if they have these sprays.
