College Captains' Report
Hi everyone, my name is Lily and I am the Year 10 Captain. Since the last newsletter, our entire school has been very busy.
We had our Open Night on Tuesday 9 May, which was a roaring success, with many prospective families coming to view our amazing school and meet some of our incredible teachers. They also heard from Ms Chaves about our school values, and from all of the Year Level captains on their favourite parts of the school!
We have also had multiple school sport days, with teams from all year levels competing in a multitude of sports, such as football, netball, badminton and more! Congratulations to the Junior Girls Football team, Intermediate Girls Football team, and Senior Boys netball team, who won their final and will be representing Beaumaris at regionals in a few weeks!
Last week we also ran cross country trials, which was a great opportunity for students from all year levels to showcase their talents, and push themselves. Congratulations to everyone that tried out. Just finishing is an amazing achievement in itself. We have now finalised a team who will be competing against all the schools in Kingston on the 31st of May, for a chance to race at Regional Championships. Good luck to everyone.
This Year our school musical is 'School of Rock'. Our Musical crew have also been busy at work, with the team running rehearsals almost every day. Our incredible cast and crew have taken this new rehearsal schedule in their stride, and I know our entire school community is very excited to come and see it.
I hope everyone has a great few weeks!
Thank you.
