Kingston Inter Round Robin - Term 2

The Term 2 Intermediate Round Robin was held on Thursday 11 May and we were able to field teams in AFL, Soccer, Netball and Badminton. For the first time as a school, we were able to host a round robin competition (the Boys AFL) and the team won 1 game for the day. It was great to see our facilities being utilised by the division.

Girls AFL & Boys Netball Day

The annual Junior, Intermediate and Senior Girls AFL and Boys Netball Competition was held on Monday 15 May and, in true Beaumaris fashion, we were able to compete in all divisions. Once again, we were able to host the Senior Girls competition which was another fantastic milestone for the college, allowing our Senior students to play on our world-class facilities.

As a college we had an extremely successful day, winning the Junior and Intermediate Girls AFL competition as well as the Senior Boys Netball. This is the 5th straight year since entering the Kingston Division that the boys have won netball! It was fantastic to see almost 120 students across the school represent Beaumaris on the day - well done to everyone involved!

Intermediate Girls AFL by Lily G (Year 10)

On Monday 15 May, we had a team of 22 girls from Year 9 and 10 representing Beaumaris in the intermediate football competition. The first game was against Bentleigh and the Beaumaris girls pulled ahead after a slow start and won convincingly in the end. We then competed against Mordialloc, which was a much tighter game. After some great team play from the girls, we managed to beat out Mordialloc for a place in the final, against the winner of Pool B, Parkdale. After a spectacular game from the whole team, who worked together wonderfully, they managed to sneak in a win, 10-6. This meant that Beaumaris were the divisional champions of 2023!

Great job to Remy J, who captained the team to the win, and led by example all day. Congratulations to all the girls, and good luck for regionals on 20 July.
