Vocational Major Community Ventures

The Collective Café

Two of the groups from the Vocational Major had a trial run of their community ventures on Friday 12 May. The Collective Café opened a temporary coffee shop within the staff room, making coffees for teachers where the coffee was free but customers were asked to make a donation to one of three charities. The students managed to raise $114.85 for the Kawanis Club which is fantastic effort by Sachin M and Isaac H.

The Beauy Bikes initiative also took its first bikes for service. This trial was offered to the first five students free of charge. With no major issues, the students will be looking to set up their venture in the coming weeks, where students are able to get their bikes serviced while at school with proceeds going towards the Fred Hollows Foundation. Another fantastic initiative by the Vocational Major students.
