FOOD AT SCHOOL

A reminder regarding food and drink at school.

You are asked to give your child lunch in a clearly marked lunch box. It would be helpful if parents could provide their children with plastic water bottles for a drink. It is important that each child have an amount of lunch that can be eaten comfortably in the time allowed (10 minutes). We ask that parents provide their child with a piece of fruit daily and that particular attention be given to providing a nutritious lunch.

Children's' food breaks are :

-Brain Food - usually a piece of fruit or cheese

-Recess

-Lunch

PLEASE NOTE: Do not give your child drinks in glass bottles or cans as they constitute a danger. Drinks in plastic containers are fine.

Lollipops, chewing gum, bubble gum or food in tins e.g. tuna are not allowed at school. Please do not send any food that needs heating.

Please do not send any nuts or nut based products in your child’s snack or lunch due to severe allergies of some children.  This includes Nutella and Peanut butter and products containing Nutella and peanut butter such as muesli bars .
