Claire Cheeseman
Claire Cheeseman

Our school Chaplain, Claire Cheeseman, is leaving Shelford at the end of Semester 1. Claire is heading overseas to enjoy an extended period of travel and adventure. Whilst we are sad to lose Claire, I am excited for her to enjoy this freedom and new chapter in her young life.  As an alumnus and proud Shelfordian, she will I am sure, continue to be involved with and part of our community at Shelford on her return.

We thank Claire for the outstanding work she has done in this position. Her warmth, open mindedness and articulate presentations, have brought the idea of faith alive in our community; encompassing the diversity of beliefs within Shelford. The role involves clubs, activities and chapel with our Junior School students and coordination of faith related activities in the Senior School. In addition, Claire enjoys the pastoral care aspect of her role and has enhanced our community and connections with Oaktree.

I am delighted to welcome Erin Juers to the role of Chaplain in Semester 2. Erin will continue in her role as drama teacher.  In her role as Chaplain, Erin brings experience, community connection, a desire to bring awareness, knowledge and acceptance of all faiths to our community and a passion for the pastoral care of our community and community building.
