ANZAC Day Assembly

Last Thursday 27 April, saw the Senior School come together for the annual ANZAC Day Assembly. Our Co-Captains Elena and Georgie led the Assembly and Year 9 students Kyley, Grace, Sahej and Bronte presented eloquently on the History of ANZAC Day as well as the 50th Anniversary of the end of Australia’s involvement in the Vietnam War. As always, music was a highlight of the assembly including beautiful performances of the New Zealand National Anthem by Audrey L from Year 10 and the Australian National Anthem by Aesha from Year 12; both were beautifully accompanied by the Concert Band. Our Trumpet teacher Laura Hertaeg’s performance of the Last Post was a moving and fitting tribute as we moved into observing a minute’s silence.

Winter Uniform

From next Monday 8 May, all students should be wearing the full winter uniform. In Senior School students may wear the winter skirt or navy trousers. Please note that Senior School students who choose to wear the winter skirt, may wear navy opaque tights or long navy socks rather than white anklets, which are only to be worn with the Summer Uniform.  I apologise for any confusion caused by a misprint in the 2023 School Diary.

Winter Coat

Regarding the winter coat, unfortunately I have been advised by Noone Imagewear of a delay in the delivery of stock. It is anticipated that coats will be in store towards the end of May, but if you are intending on purchasing a coat, please call ahead to check on stock levels.
