Community Engagement and Staff Wellbeing
STAFF WELLBEING
We are off and running at Mackellar P.S with great activities for students, parents and staff.
Our Parent, Meet and Greet nights were a success and it was wonderful to have you all return to seeing us again in person. We have missed you dearly, so it was great to see you here and we hope to see you at upcoming events such as our ANZAC Day commemoration in April and our Education Week Student Expo in May.
Staff celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8 with a visit from the coffee van and a surprise cake from a generous parent, thank you very much. Our staff celebrated the wonderfully diverse contribution a range of very successful women have made to our rich society, and we took stock of the challenges women have faced in the past and continue to face today. It was a very worthwhile day and we hope we have done our bit to raise awareness of these issues.
Our curriculum day was very productive, and we are all keen to share our learning in our classrooms. In terms of staff wellbeing, the staff had a fantastic time working together learning new sports games to share with the students. We reaffirmed the value of teamwork and shared a delicious lunch amongst colleagues whilst reinforcing the work we have been doing on IDEAS.
We are all looking forward to Harmony Day, Monday March 22 and the KABOOM incursion on March 23.
