Parents' Association News & Events

Parent Association Thank You

The Parent Association (PA) is a valuable and active group who add significantly to the positive culture of our school community.  The time given by the committee members and executive members to the wellbeing of our school community cannot be appreciated enough.

We would like to thank the outgoing PA committee for their hard work and dedication, particularly in the last two COVID effected years.  In particular we would like to thank the following executive committee members who are standing down:

John Richmond and Amanda Gunnersen led the committee as Presidents.  The committee continued their focus on friendship and fund raising, running some incredibly successful events, in the most difficult of times.  Their contribution as leaders of the committee and support for the school community has been greatly appreciated.

Anita Young is stepping down as the Treasurer.  Anita has also been a valuable member of the School Council Finance Committee representing the PA, thank you Anita.

Lucy Freeman kept everyone organised and informed as the Secretary, thank you for your support of the committee and community.

A new executive committee takes the helm this year with their first meeting on the 3rd March at 9.15am, in the Staff Room.

Robyn James

Principal

As John Richmond and Amanda Gunnersen step down as President and Vice President of the Malvern Primary School Parents Association, we would like to take this opportunity to introduce our newest Co-presidents, Bree Stevens and Cherie Paterson.

Bree has two children at the school; a daughter Paige in Grade 3 and a son Jack in Prep.

Cherie also has two children at the school; a daughter Audrey in Grade 1 and a daughter Poppy in Prep.

With big shoes to fill following the amazing contribution made by John and Amanda, Bree and Cherie look forward to continuing to build on the strong community we have at Malvern Primary, as well as raising much needed funds with the support of the brilliant PA committee.

The team has already started planning a fun-filled 2022 with many opportunities for our school community to come together.

Joining the PA is a great way to get involved with the school and the broader community while having some fun along the way.

We welcome all new volunteers to the committee and in particular, are still seeking someone to fill the role of treasurer.

If you would like to help, please reach out to Bree and Cherie at malvernprimarypa@gmail.com
