Year 1 and 2
Our Year 1 and 2 students are well and truly into their school routines, learning and exploring more on Literacy, Numeracy, Health and Science.
Year 2C
Health lesson focus on being kind and friendly.
Year 2D
The students were writing as we dictated to them three different sentences that they were to write. The students were involved in a class discussion about making inferences.
Year 2F
The children explored in outdoor learning during Mathematics, as they were learning about place value. The children completed shape faces, while learning about 2D and 3D shapes.
Year 1C
The students had a great deal of fun these last weeks. During mathematics, the students explored shapes and created their own designs. During literacy lessons they had been removing and changing sounds to create new words, as well as transforming fragments into complete sentences. Finally, in science the students continued to investigate and learn about garden creatures.
Year 1G
In Year One the students have been learning about 2D shapes. In one lesson, they created 2D shapes using play dough and icy pole sticks. The students worked together to count the number of lines and edges.
Year 1W
This week in the newly named Year 1W (for Miss Walsh), the students have been learning about each other and our new teacher, she LOVES dogs (this is Teddy). In mathematics the students learnt about 2D shapes and modelling them with icy pole sticks and playdough. In science, the students, learnt about the minibeast - ants. The students then enticed the ants to visit, by placing some jam on plates, and inviting them to join the class ant farm.
