The Voice of our Children

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6

Have you met Molly? (Video link below) A wonderful young person sharing her experience of the world and what makes a difference: connecting, talking, playing, a healthy home and community. The proverb mentioned in the introduction, reminds us the impact we can have on our children, and the legacy it may leave. This has induced a time of reflection, and I cannot help but ask "What have we learnt from the past two years?" The answers received were, that their cherished assets are their children and family, and that time passes quickly. That a conversation, a gentle touch on the shoulder, a listening ear can make a difference to someone's day.  What is your response?

In Molly's TED Video, her advise is simple and valuable, and if we can focus on one of these five tips with our young children, we can make a difference. It will also positively influence our relationships with all of our children, at any age!

During the past week, students have shared their return to school struggles, this has included the difficulty in minimising devise duration and engaging in reading and reflection time at home.

The importance of reflection and quiet time cannot be underestimated. It supports us to self-regulate and develop healthy mind habits which support mental health and wellbeing.

This short and entertaining video, reminds us of the important characteristics which positively impact and influence our children's growth. It is as simple a connecting, talking and playing. This time with your child not only is fun, it develops cherished memories and relationships. Your children will grow very quickly before your eyes and today is the day we stop, slow down and cherish these growing moments.

Assembly

We held a wonderful outdoor assembly with our students, staff, parents and grandparents. It gave our guests an opportunity to meet our new Executive Principal, Damian Higgins and Head of Campus, Kerrie Neophytou. We joyously embraced this time and look forward to further opportunities we come together as a community.

Chapel

Coming together at our Chapel services are cherished times for our community. We had two Chapel sessions in the Church Hall for the first time this year, and were blessed to have a special guest, Dan Faber our Chair of the Board.

Carpark Progress

Our carpark development is progressing well. We appreciate our parents consideration, time and patience, in maneuvering the detours.
