SKiPPS 2022 Jessie Breakwell Merchandise Fundraiser

In 2021 our first “Artist Series” range featured the work of Bianca Loiacono, loved by the SKIPPS community for her incredible mural design on the performing arts wall. Bianca’s whimsical characters brought the fun to a range of socks, badges and tea-towels, and with most items sold out SKIPPS raised over $5,000 in profit.

About Jessie

Melbourne based artist Jessie Breakwell has been painting for more than 20 years and is globally recognised for her quirky, abstract and whimsical style, depicting zebras, elephants, tropical birds, serene still lifes and intricate landscapes.

Her work is offbeat, quirky and full of wonder. Strongly influenced by the enigmatic Brett Whiteley and French Fauvist artist Henri Matisse, Jessie’s vibrant paintings evoke a sense of enchantment and fun providing light relief and a satisfying diversion from inescapable reality.

“I don’t like to take life too seriously,” Jessie says. “I’m not into realism, there’s enough drama going on in the world at the moment so I prefer to take a lighter look at life.”
