Kitchen Garden program

Kitchen sessions have begun

We are really excited that Year 3/4 students have now begun their Kitchen Garden program sessions over the last fortnight.

With Betty on leave this term, we welcome Mara Davison to the role to run the sessions alongside the class teachers.

Mara is an educator with a passion for sustainability, gardening and cooking and will be with us until Easter. The different classes will be having sessions on the following dates

Tuesday 22nd March9:00am11:30am
Tuesday 29th March  9:00am11:30am

As always, we would love adult volunteers to help us run these sessions.

If you think you can help, please contact the office on st.kilda.park.ps@education.vic.gov.au

Please note that we do require all volunteers to hold a current working with children's check, be fully vaccinated and wear a mask during the session.

We ask that you provide your working with children's check and show your official vaccination status when you sign in at the office and collect your Visitor Badge for the session.

Our kitchen garden is in need of some TLC.

If you enjoy being outdoors or have a green thumb please come and help Allison in the kitchen garden every Monday straight after drop off. No gardening skills necessary, just a love for connecting with nature. Bring a drink bottle and stay SunSmart. All tools and equipment provided. What a great way to start your week!

A big thank you to all the fabulous student helpers who have been busy helping to collect seeds from our plants. So far we have parsley, silverbeet, sunflower, calendula and hollyhock seeds ready to plant when the time is right.
