Anzac Day Ceremony

We were very fortunate today to have Darcy and Sally come to school for our Lighthorseman Presentation at school.

Clean Up Australia

Building on the ‘Clean Up Australia Day’ work of Scarlett Fennessy in Year 6, Emma and her Japanese through Sustainability program saw all students and staff make an environmental pledge and support the Clean Up Australia promotion. For these efforts, we have won a recycled plastic ‘Buddy Bench’ for our playground. Super efforts team!

Our school is Facebook Famous! Check out the Clean Up Australia Facebook post from April 10, and all the details of our win here.

Year 5 Visit to Sacred Heart

Year 5 students had the opportunity to visit Sacred Heart Secondary College on the 26th March.

Knitting Club

Knitting Club is back! Students were over thrilled to see Mary back this week after such a long Covid delayed break. It’s great to see the senior students guiding and supporting the middle students, and everyone having such a wonderful time.

Cross Country

Our Cross Country superstars had a fabulous day at Cross Country today. Congratulations to Izzy Kays for coming FIRST in 12/13 girls! St Brigid's students were by far the best cheerers and cheered every person to the finish line!

Sustainability

Big appreciation goes to Asha for her initiative in organising our new sign for our garden. She has driven the creation and installation of this amazing sign that depicts many of the ways time in our garden helps up to "GROW".  We are really grateful for all her efforts. A big thank you also to Pete Connors for always being so generous with his talents, resources and his time to help bring our ideas to fruition.

Walking Group

Walking group headed off for their weekly walk with Miss Mel and Maree. On our way, we discovered this amazing tree. Check out the patchworks of nature! We also ventured to the cemetery and discovered they have QR codes throughout to read historical accounts of the lives of many locals. Fascinating.

Design Club

A number of students have been working on their engineering and design skills with Jackie during break times. It has been amazing to see the imagination and creativity of our students when given simple materials and an open-ended challenge.
