Principal - St Brigid's Primary School

Welcome back to term 2, 2021

I hope you have had a wonderful break - full of Easter joy and renewal. I am pleased to share with you today our new newsletter format. This format will ensure that you are able to quickly access areas of interest and important information.

I am so impressed with how the students, staff, parents and the wider community have returned to learning for term 2. We have commenced in a positive and productive way and I'm excited with the goals we have set for this term.

One focus we are working on with MACS (Melbourne Archdiocese of Catholic Schools) is the development of a school choir as part of our prayer focus. We will be looking for volunteers to help us out and would love to hear from you!

Once again we have been leading change through the amazing work of Emma Barker and Scarlett Fennessy (Year 6). Check out the details of the work we have been involved in with Clean Up Australia on our School News page.

Tomorrow we will gather as a school for our ANZAC service. We are also gathering on Sunday at 10:30am to represent St Brigid’s in the Gisborne service.

Our Whole School Athletics will take place on Friday, April 30th at Dixon Field - all helpers greatly appreciated - please let Petrina know.

Our students and staff have been active and visible around the community including Foundation students visiting Foodworks, the walking club exploring the local cemetery, Seniors at the library, Middle school celebrating awesome efforts with a visit to the Adventure Playground, and so much more! We really are a dynamic part of our local community.

Lastly, an important reminder when picking up and dropping off students in the service road: You must park, rather than double-park. We need to ensure the safety of everyone. Also, please remember that the service road parking bays closest to the school are a 'No Parking' zone before 9:15am. Drop off in these bays is fine.

Blessings and best wishes to you all.

Love the Learning.
