Level 1

We can’t believe it’s almost the end of Term 1! We have been continuing with our classroom routines. Students are becoming familiar with our Reading Workshop rotations, and in Writing we have been practising writing recounts. In Maths, we have been looking at chance and probability. Students have had fun thinking of events that are certain (We will finish school at 3.30), possible (I will eat a lolly after school) and impossible (The teacher will explode). In Inquiry, we have been looking at how things change with time and manmade versus natural things.

A highlight of this fortnight was our final SEDA cricket clinic with the inflatables. Favourites included the classic catch, the slide (which students threw themselves down with gusto) and the over/under agility challenge. On Cross Country Day, students enjoyed dressing in their House colours and cheering on some of the senior students in their cross country races.

Harmony Day was a lovely way to end the fortnight. It was a wonderful celebration of the cultural diversity at Rangeview. Students loved the activity rotations with their Buddy classes.

After such a busy time, we are sure everyone is in need of a good rest! Wishing you a fantastic school holiday break, and looking forward to seeing you back at school in Term 2.
