Years One/Two News 

Welcome Back

A warm welcome back to all of our wonderful Years One and Two students! The children should be proud of the way they have settled so smoothly back into classroom routines. 

We have a busy and exciting term coming up. The students have already experienced some very valuable learning at our Life Education sessions, and they are especially looking forward to the Gymnastics program (commencing in Week 6).

All Mixed Up

This term, our Integrated Studies topic has shifted from History to a Science focus as the students work their way through the unit, "All Mixed Up". The children will discover what happens when different materials are combined, including mixtures made from combinations of solids and / or liquids, as well as exploring which mixtures can and cannot be separated back into their original parts.

You can support this at home by helping your child to discover what mixtures you and your family use in daily life at home. Keep an eye on your child's reader satchel, as a home learning task on this topic will be sent home in the coming days. Here are some examples to promote discovery!
