ANZAC Day Assembly

This week we were lucky enough to gather as a whole school for the first time in over a year. Staff and students came together in the gym for a beautiful ANZAC Day service on Monday 26th of April.

Our student leaders lay the wreath at our flagpoles and lowered the flags to half-mast in respect for our ANZAC soldiers, before leading the school through the service.

Mr Shinkfield told the story of his great uncle who fought in WWI, and read letters from a young ANZAC to his family written before he was killed by disease, the biggest killer in the war. Students from our Enhance World Wars class read poetry, and The Last Post was played by our very own Ms Haynes.
