Careers
Australian Catholic University came to visit our year 11 and 12 VCE students to discuss future pathways and goal setting.
The event consisted of:
• Student panels with Q and A’s
• Ambassador story sharing of their own educational journey, pathways, aspirations and goals
• What university life is all about
• Navigating Year 11-12 and beyond (course selection, study hints and tips, etc)
• Mini speed-dating informal chat sessions
A number of tertiary intuitions will be visiting our students over the coming weeks to deliver a variety of sessions with a Careers and Pathways focus during tutorial sessions.
Deakin University have already delivered a ‘Study for Success’ workshop and a ‘Pathways’ workshop to all VCE students as well as a ‘Destination Unknown’ workshop to our year 11 cohort.
'Destination Unknown’ is designed to assist students in researching careers, monitoring the landscape of industries and job markets and assist with them in making the correct decisions in the future.
Students are encouraged to drop in to the Careers Office at any time.
Year 10 Work Experience - 2021
As an integral part of the Year 10 program at Kurunjang Secondary College, we would like to invite our Year 10 students to participate in a week of work experience.
This will be conducted during the last week of term, from Monday 21st of June to Friday 25th of June.
Work experience will be an optional program in 2021, however students who participate in the program need to find a placement that is related to a career-based pathway that they are interested in pursuing.
Students that do not participate in the work experience program will be required to attend school as a part of normal attendance expectations.
Please feel free to contact Careers if you have any questions.
