A special thanks to our School Captains for representing our community at the Cenotaph on Sunday morning. They also led the school in a moment of reflection on Monday in a broadcast service on Webex. These were moments to reflect on the words ‘Lest We Forget’.

Curriculum Day

A reminder that students will be staying at home tomorrow Friday 30 April, while teachers use the day to deepen their understanding of mathematical themes that span the curriculum. They will be exploring ways to differentiate mathematical instruction to ensure that every child is learning at the very edge of their understanding.

School Cross Country

Students from Year 3 to Year 6 will be participating in the Cross Country on Monday from 11:30am. Please make sure that students come with their asthma medication and a bottle of water. All students are encouraged to participate as a way to promote a healthy lifestyle. A special thanks to Kelli Zealley for ensuring the day will be a success.

School Photos

A reminder to book the family haircuts for our school photos on Thursday 6 May. We are excited to have the opportunity to offer the purchase of photos through Compass. Make sure you visit your Compass newsfeed to find out how! Parents can also pay by cash and should have received a specific family envelope. If you have any questions please call the office.

Canteen Winter Offerings

While we will not be opening our Canteen on Mondays over this term, many are enjoying the healthy new warm winter Jaffles! Don’t miss out on these tasty offerings!

Extra Curricular Activities

We welcome back Jim Canon who is our Chess Instructor. All are welcome to shuffle a piece on a Wednesday afternoon. Keep an eye on the newsletter if you are eager to participate!

Jenny already has an eager group of students who are plucking and strumming guitars. For those who wish to join her and learn how to play, please don’t hesitate to contact the office to find out more.

Other extra curricular activities continue with a range of opportunities to learn the piano, keyboard, a range of woodwind and percussion instruments! You may also be interested in Digimaker, a group of computer coders who meet on a Monday or the energy of dance or sport with Sporty Stars.
