Performing Arts

What a great end to Term 1 we have had doing Drama in Performing Arts!

Congratulations to all of the Year 3-6 students that planned, rehearsed and performed their monologue in front of a live audience, over the last few weeks.

It takes great courage to perform in front of your peers and I was so impressed to see everyone challenging themselves to step out of their comfort zone and present their improvisation or scripted piece.

The Year P-2 students have also been doing a wonderful job performing in front of the class and have been acting out the story of the The Three Billy Goats Gruff, as well as their own adaptations of the play.

Below are some photos of some of the Year 3/4 students presenting their "Fake It" monologue, where they had to pretend to be in "time out" for something they didn't do, the Year 5/6 students presenting their "Convict Me!?" monologue, where they had to pretend they were a child convict travelling on the First Fleet and some of the Year P-2 students performing their Billy Goat Gruff plays.

Next Term in Performing Arts we will be doing DANCE.

I hope everyone has a great Easter break,
