Parents & Friends

Class Ambassadors and Contact lists

Each year we ask 1 or 2 parent/guardians, per class, to be Class Ambassadors.  The Class Ambassador helps other parents, the class teacher and the Rangeview Parents & Friends (RP&F) by doing things such as: compiling the class contact list, forwarding class emails, sending out reminders by text/email, co-ordinating class parties, encouraging parent participation in school activities (class room reading, hot food days, money counting etc.) and answering general questions.

The Class Ambassador will compile & distribute a class contact list for 2021.  The class list is then emailed to the parents in that class. This list is a helpful resource for parents to communicate with other parents in their child’s class, helping the children learn the names of their classmates, organising play dates and parties, and also for the Class Ambassador to get information to parents, from the Teacher, and Parents and Friends Committee.

Please complete this online form by Monday 9th February.

Book Club 2021

This week your children will be bringing home a copy of the Scholastic Book Club Catalogue that you can order from. Inside you’ll find award winning books and bestsellers, as well as old and new favourites. Not only are there books but stationary and other activity books. They cover a wide range of interests and reading levels, and they are at a great price (some as little as $2).

Each term there will be two issues of Book Club.

Each order helps us earn free books and teaching resources for our Primary School, however there is never any obligation to order.

Orders can only be placed online via scholastic.com.au/LOOP or using the LOOP app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play (search for ‘scholastic loop’).

No money is taken through the Primary School for Book Club.

If you haven’t ordered before it’s easy: Please register for an account, identify Rangeview Primary School and the class your child is in. Enter the books you would like to order and your payment details.

When orders are returned to School, they will be delivered to your childs’ classroom and then given out to the children to bring home. If you’d like to order books for gifts please tick the “GIFT” box when ordering. These orders will be kept at the Office and you will be notified to collect them.

The due date for orders will be advertised in the School Newsletter / on Sentral / School Facebook page and on the Parents and Friends notice board (near the second hand uniform shop).

Please contact Tracy at tbeckter1@bigpond.com if you have any questions.

Please keep this notice as a reference on how to order.

Please Note: Each year we have to set up new Class names and number of Students in each class in the Book Club. This often takes a few issues to get sorted. So if you can’t find your Class please order under another class in that Year level  - I will be able to find you.

Purchases will not only provide a treat for you or a gift for someone else, but it will also support and help raise funds for ongoing projects at the school. It will also support a local business as Prospect Wines are located in Blackburn.

Prices start from as little as $15 a bottle with a minimum order of 6 bottles. Please click on the link to place your order - https://prospectwines.com.au/product/rangeview-primary-school/

Orders are online only and are delivered directly to your nominated address (contact free).  Delivery fees are calculated based on where they are delivering too (around $10).

They are designed to mark “2020 – a year like no other” and are a great momento for how far we have come, as we move forward from the challenges we faced in 2020. And to remind us that we still have a long way to go but together we can do it.
