BYOD iPad Program

All Level 1- 6 families should have received iPad App Lists and User Agreements last week or early this week.

If you have opted into the ‘Bring Your Own Device’ iPad program, it is a requirement that user agreements are signed and returned to the classroom teacher before students can bring their iPads to school.

The App list will be specific to your child’s level and will contain the Apps that will be used in the classroom by students.

Just a reminder that students are not permitted to have an iPad at school with a SIM card and connectivity. This is to ensure students cannot access inappropriate content via the internet. All student iPads will be connected to the school EDUSTAR network which is safe.

Student Mobile Phones

In accordance with the Department of Education Mobile Phones – Student Use Policy issued by the Minister for Education, personal student mobile phones must not be used while on-site at Rangeview Primary School during school hours, including lunchtime and recess.

Students are encouraged not to bring mobile phones and smart watches to school unless absolutely necessary.

Where students bring a mobile phone to school or any other device with internet connectivity, Rangeview Primary School will provide secure storage and students are required to store their phones and devices by handing them into the school administration office to be placed in a lockable cupboard before school. The devices can then be collected from the office after the 3.30pm school bell.
