ARTIST OF THE WEEK WINNER

Prize Winner Scout Andrews Year 10 (2020)

At the start of 2020, our most collectively challenging year ever, the Arts & Technology Faculties began an initiative to feature an artist weekly, on Compass. It was mentioned that there would be a prize for the winner, who had to be featured more than once. 

Scout Andrews is our winner, having been featured three times with two paintings and one digital work. Well done Scout on such an achievement, as well as your admission to Victorian College of the Arts. 

Artist of the Week has been commented on favourably by many, staff and students alike. In such a challenging year it has been great to see students creating artworks out of school hours as well as at school of course, and being motivated enough to submit these works for Artist of the Week. 

Thank you to Melbourne Artist Supplies who have generously provided a $50 voucher as the prize. 

We hope to continue and build on the initiative of Artist of the Week in 2021.
